All of my repositories have moved over to Codeberg. This account only exists for contributing to projects I care about that haven't migrated yet.
GitHub has a lot of problems. The big one being Copilot. That they're scraping repositories regardless of license, then selling that code back to paying users to use in their closed-sourced private repositories. And that's before you get into Microsoft itself as a company. Remember when they wanted to charge users for running their own GitHub Actions servers? Yes, you love money and all but what are you going to do with a trillion dollars?—to the point where you're doing everything in your power to extract more money?
I've bounced around alot of Git hosting providers over the years. However, Codeberg is the one that actually stuck—and there's a preety clear day and night when you're comparing Codeberg to something like GitHub and GitLab— I'll let you figure out why yourself.
