Suggestion to Enable Deployment Previews for PRs

Hello,

I would like to know what deployment method and platform are currently being used for this project. Additionally, I suggest enabling deployment previews for pull requests on the existing platform (or a suitable alternative). This feature would allow contributors and reviewers to easily test and review changes in a live environment specific to each PR, making it much easier to understand, check, and validate updates before merging.

Is this something that can be considered for the project? Thank you!

How does a deployment preview work?
If there's an easy way to get previews on PRs, I'm for it.
However I don't have admin control of this repo, so the maintainers need to get involved.
Can you add more detail on the specific implementation proposal?

A deployment preview creates a live, temporary version of the site for each pull request, making reviews much easier.
With this setup, maintainers and reviewers don’t need to pull changes locally as each PR automatically gets a unique live URL where the changes can be viewed directly with the PR context.

The implementation depends on the deployment platform being used:

• For platforms like Vercel or Netlify, deployment previews can be enabled with just a simple setting and some basic repo configuration.
• If the project uses GitHub Pages, we can set up deployment previews using a GitHub Action or workflow that builds and deploys a preview for each PR.
• For other platforms, there’s usually a comparable setting or workflow available to enable deployment previews on pull requests.

Overall, the implementation is quite straightforward, it mostly requires admin access to enable or configure it.

I’ll look into it, there’s likely a GitHub Action available for this.

Alternatively, we could use Netlify just for deployment previews on PRs. I believe it should be free for this use case. We’d just need to connect the repo to a Netlify account and enable the relevant setting.

I have previously worked in repositories with netlify preview, they usually require credentials from member/maintainer and I guess there is some cost they charge for it.
If approved that the maintainers are interested in this feature I can add it to .github/workflows .It will be a CI based workflow triggered on every commit.
